For moms raising neurodivergent kids & teens

You’ve done the evaluations, the therapy, the school meetings… so why is home still so hard?

If simple requests turn into meltdowns, shutdowns, refusal, or spirals, you are not imagining it, and you are not failing your child.

There is often a gap between what professionals explain and what you are living through at home in real time.

A Different Kind of Parenting helps you close that gap, so you can stop guessing, stop walking on eggshells, and start knowing what your child may need in the moments that usually leave you completely drained.

You are not imagining it.

You’ve done the reading.
You’ve talked to the professionals.
You’ve tried the tools.
You’re not ignoring the problem. You’re not checked out. You’re not doing nothing.

You are trying.

And still…

The mornings are hard.
The meltdowns keep happening.
The shutdowns come out of nowhere.
Simple requests turn into battles.
Your child can seem fine one minute and completely unreachable the next.

That is the part nobody really prepares you for.

Because support often explains your child on paper.
But you are the one living it in the kitchen, the car, the hallway, the bedroom doorway, and the middle of a moment when everything is already too much.

That’s the gap.

You don’t need more blame.
You don’t need another generic parenting strategy.
You need a different lens.

This mom-centered support helps you understand the nervous system patterns underneath meltdowns, shutdowns, refusal, avoidance, demand distress, and capacity crashes, so you can stop guessing and respond with more clarity, confidence, and emotional steadiness.

Is this for me?

Who this is for

This is for moms who are

  • Exhausted by the same meltdowns, shutdowns, and power struggles
  • Tired of advice that sounds good but never quite lands
  • Doing everything they know and still ending up in the same place
  • Ready to finally understand what is actually going on

This may not be for you if

  • You are looking for a rigid behavior system or one-size-fits-all scripts
  • You want someone to hand you a quick fix without helping you understand the bigger picture

This is not about doing more. It is about finally understanding what is actually happening, so your responses can start working better.

What’s Inside the Framework's Container

A support system for the real moments, not another thing to keep up with.

1

Help for what's happening right now

Quick Reset Decodes help you make sense of the hard moments as they’re happening, so you can stop guessing and respond with more clarity instead of panic.

MeltdownsShutdownsHomework battlesScreen conflictsSchool refusalResistance & avoidance

Instead of searching the internet late at night, find guidance that helps you understand what may actually be happening beneath the behavior. When behavior starts to make sense, the confusion begins to ease.

2

Understand what is driving the pattern

When the same struggles keep repeating, this helps you see what may be underneath them so you’re not just reacting to the behavior in front of you.

Meltdowns, shutdowns, resistance, and avoidance are not random. They are signals. When you understand what those signals are telling you, you stop reacting to the surface and start responding to what is actually going on underneath. That shift changes the whole dynamic at home.

3

Build real skills over time

This is where you start building the skills underneath the behavior, so your child can move toward more flexibility, communication, regulation, and independence without pressure or forced compliance.

This is where many moms see the biggest shifts. You begin to understand how your child processes the world and what actually helps those skills grow. Less friction. More understanding. More connection.

What moms inside the program say

Real change from moms who were where you are

"I'm much more confident in how I handle situations. I slow down, regulate myself, and respond instead of reacting. That confidence has changed how my teen shows up too."

Mom inside the program

"Changing myself changed our family. I'm calmer, slower to react, and more intentional. Connection over correction made all the difference."

Mom inside the program

"My stress level is much lower. I no longer feel pressure around timelines or milestones. I trust my teen's path and my ability to support him."

About Tara: Created from the hardest place I've ever been in as a mom. Years ago I was overwhelmed, trying to fix behaviors I didn't yet understand and slowly losing myself in the process. The stress, the constant problem-solving, the feeling that nothing was working... I know that place because I lived there. What began as my own search for answers eventually became the work I do today. As a parent mentor and certified autism specialist, I now help moms step out of survival mode and learn a calmer, neurologically aligned way to support their kids and teens. My work blends neuroscience, professional experience, and lived parenting reality, so you can feel grounded, confident, and deeply connected to your child again.

Common questions

Before you decide

  • Is this a program I work through at my own pace?

Yes, the video library is self-paced and searchable by topic, so you can find help for what's happening right now rather than working through a rigid curriculum. Live sessions with Tara happen twice weekly and are a complement, not a requirement.

  • I've tried other programs and they didn't work. Why would this be different?

Most parenting programs focus on behavior management strategies. A Different Kind of Parenting starts one layer deeper with the nervous system biology driving the behavior. When you understand the "why," strategies start to actually land. That shift is what makes the difference for moms who've already tried everything else.

  • My child hasn't been officially diagnosed. Is this still for me?

Yes. A Different Kind of Parenting is built around understanding nervous system behavior, which is relevant for any child who is struggling, diagnosed or not. Many moms join while still navigating the assessment process.

  • What age range is this designed for?

The containeris designed primarily for moms raising neurodivergent kids, adolescents, teens, and young adults. The nervous system framework applies across ages, though much of Tara's specific experience is with teens.

  • What does "lifetime access" actually mean?

You pay once for the core framework the video library, workshops, and the Let Go Series™ and access it forever, including all future additions. The optional live support and community is a separate $149/month subscription you can cancel anytime.
